National Pothole Day 2017 witnessed the power of social media at its best. We promised UK road users that Street Repairs would amplify your voice. Well, together we did just that. Here are just a few highlights from the day.

Twitter #NationalPotholeDay was trending at #1 for over ten hours. Get this; it was so powerful that we started trending in other countries.

Facebook We posted one light hearted image and a caption request and achieved over 122,000 hits

Thunderclap campaign was supported by thousands and achieved a reach on the day of nearly 2.2 million people.

Press and Media interaction was exponential with nearly every major newspaper covering our campaign to rid our nation of the dreaded pothole. National Pothole Day is now firmly embedded in our society as a traditional annual event.

Radio exposure Lots of daily talk shows where watching what was happening on social media and also covered the event, which in turn encouraged debate.

Search engines, such as Google and MSN were set alight and captured the event with breath taking accuracy.

The results from reported potholes to our website had the desired effect. Nearly all of the potholes reported on the day have either been repaired or are scheduled for repairs.

National Pothole Day 2018 is well underway; mark it in your diary. We guarantee next year’s event will be explosive.
